Skyjacker shocks have performance-specific internal components that are designed to respond instantly to on- and off-road conditions. Whether you are traversing rough or smooth terrain at high or low speeds, the true velocity sensitive valving of these shocks ensures a stable and controlled level of resistance. This improves handling, stability, and provides maximum comfort.
The durable and long-lasting shock absorbers from Skyjacker incorporate technological innovations that give them a noticeable advantage over original equipment and other shocks. They provide a safe and comfortable ride, while also enhancing handling and stability. By keeping the tires in contact with the terrain, they give you greater control of the road ahead.
Since their establishment in 1974, Skyjacker has been committed to being a leader in the off-road suspension industry. They continue to strive towards this goal, fueled by the same passion that their CEO had from the inception of the company until the present day. With three generations currently working at Skyjacker, they refuse to settle for the status quo. Their aspirations include ongoing innovation, setting benchmarks in the off-road suspension world, and being recognized for the integrity of their team, ethical business practices, and the quality of their products and service.
The Skyjacker Hydro Shocks are a prime example of the high-quality shock absorbers they offer. These shocks utilize true velocity sensitive valving, controlling the rate at which suspension springs compress and rebound. The compression of the shock is referred to as "bump," while the expansion is known as "rebound." While it is the springs that primarily absorb the shock of bumps and suspension loading, the true function of the shock is to manage the energy stored in the springs.
With hydraulic action, it is crucial to mount the shock in a "body down" position to ensure proper functioning. Other features of the Hydro Shocks include an orifice disk, velocity sensitive valving, a leak-proof seal, a bonded iron piston, a chromed piston rod, and red polyurethane bushings. The shocks also come with a red boot and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
